WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO ATTEND THE SCENE CLUB SCREENINGS?

To attend our screenings you have to be a registered member of The Scene Club and reserve a ticket on our website. By reserving a ticket, you automatically become a member of the club and from then on you will receive our monthly e-invitations.

After your online reservation, you need to collect a ticket from our Ticket Desk the night of the screening. Note that tickets will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis until theatre capacity is reached. Your online reservation allows you to obtain a ticket, however it is not a guarantee of entry to the screening, so we strongly encourage all guests to collect their ticket as soon as the Ticket Desk opens at 7pm.

HOW CAN I CHANGE MY TICKET DATE?

If you have already booked and you would like to change your ticket date, all you need to do is book another ticket by filling out your details on the eticket page. You will then be presented with a link to modify your registration (this link will appear right above the red ‘BOOK‘ button). After you click the link, we’ll send you an email to modify your registration.

Should you face any difficulty while changing your ticket date, please email us at members@thesceneclub.com.

WHERE DO THE SCENE CLUB SCREENINGS TAKE PLACE?

At Dubai Knowledge Village Conference Centre (location map).

We may, from time to time, select a different location for special screenings. Any event changes will always be posted on our website, therefore we always advise to check this site before attending a screening.

WHEN DO THE SCENE CLUB SCREENINGS TAKE PLACE?

Twice a month, generally on a Tuesday and Wednesday night, however days may change depending on the guest filmmaker’s availability or on special events. Exact dates will always be posted on this website.

AT WHAT TIME DO THE EVENTS START?

  • Our events start at 7pm and finish at around 10pm.
  • The film screenings start at 8pm, however guests are strongly encouraged to come and collect their reserved ticket as soon as the Ticket Desk opens, as tickets are handed out on a first-come, first-served basis and we often have a full house.
  • The Ticket Desk opens at 7pm and closes at 7.45pm.
  • Guests will be allowed into the venue to queue for ticket collection from 7pm and not earlier.
  • Guests that arrive after 7.45pm (when the Ticket Desk closes) will need to join a Stand-By Queue for their chance to obtain a ticket, even if they have reserved a ticket online.
  • Between 7pm and 8pm, The Scene Club Networking Lounge will be open, where guests can enjoy meeting fellow film enthusiasts and some complimentary refreshments.
  • The theatre doors will open at 7.45pm and seating is unallocated.
  • The theatre doors will close at 8pm and late admissions will not be allowed.
  • A Q&A session with a filmmaker representing the film (director, producer, actor or screenwriter) will take place after the film screening, generally around 9.30pm or 10pm, depending on the duration of the film.

Event timings may change from time to time (e.g. during Ramadan), therefore we advise to always check this website before attending a screening.

HOW MANY TICKETS CAN I RESERVE?

Each person can reserve 1 ticket.  Only that person is allowed to collect his/her ticket from our Ticket Desk. Out of fairness to all our guests who make an effort to queue up in time and to avoid tickets going unused, we will hand out tickets only to guests that show up in person at our Ticket Desk and we will not be able to hand out tickets for other people, despite them being on our Guests List.

CAN TICKETS BE PICKED UP FOR SOMEONE?

Unfortunately no, everyone has to collect his or her own ticket. Out of fairness to all our guests who make an effort to queue up in time and to avoid tickets going unused, we will hand out tickets only to guests that show up in person at our Ticket Desk and we will not be able to hand out tickets for other people, despite them being on our Guests List.

CAN I STILL GO TO THE SCREENING IF I HAVEN’T RESERVED A TICKET ONLINE?

Guests who have not made an online reservation can join a Stand-By Queue at the venue from 7pm. Stand-by people will be offered a ticket to the screening only if tickets are still available after all the reserved guests have been served.

HOW MUCH ARE THE SCENE CLUB SCREENINGS?

Our events are totally free. You just need to be a registered member. To join The Scene Club simply click on JOIN THE CLUB on our website and fill in the Registration Form.

HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER OF THE SCENE CLUB?

Simply JOIN THE CLUB by filling in the Registration Form. Alternatively, when you reserve a ticket on our website for one of our screenings, you automatically become a member of the club.

Once you are a club member, we will automatically send you e-invitations to our monthly screenings.

CAN I BRING CHILDREN TO THE SCREENINGS?

It depends on the film being screened. The film rating will be clearly shown on our website and e-invitations. Children who do not fit within the rating will not be allowed to enter the theatre.

IS THERE PARKING AT THE EVENT LOCATION?

Yes there is, Knowledge Village Conference Centre has ample parking just in front of its main entrance and around it. (location map).

CAN YOU BRING FOOD AND DRINKS TO THE SCREENINGS?

Food and drinks can be brought to the networking area, but they will not be allowed into the theatre. The Scene Club will also provide some refreshments during the networking hour, but again these will not be allowed into the theatre.

CAN I RECOMMEND A FILM TO BE SCREENED?

HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED WITH THE CLUB?

The Scene Club welcomes all volunteers who would like to help out during the screening nights (attending the Ticket Desk, ushering, guests relations, during Q&A, etc.).
